Dresses vs pants for traveling. Outfit #1
I am a person who always packs jeans or pants for traveling. I have always thought that they were more convenient and comfortable, they gave me a more sporty, dynamic feeling and I can see more by walking miles in a comfortable pair of jeans than in a dress. In my head, I have always had the same image that the dresses are more for sitting in a café with a glass of something and slowly looking at passers-by.
But my last visit to New York changed all those beliefs. I still packed two pairs of pants, but I also had two hangers with a dress and a skirt. I decided to do a little experiment. I wanted to check how I am going to feel by walking in New York in a skirt or a dress the whole day long. We had many plans for that weekend.
I started with my skirt which I wore on Saturday. We went to the MoMA Museum and spent three hours there, and after that, we had a tasty dinner at Del Fresco's Steakhouse. And let me tell you: I have never felt so good not wearing pants or jeans in the city with 90 degrees outside.
What do you prefer for traveling?
I don't often wear dresses when traveling but I agree they would be so much better for the heat if I chose the right one. Wore a dress visiting a fort yesterday and apart from the mosquitoes, it was comfortable and a lot less hot than pants would be.

DeleteIf the day is really hot, skirt seems to be the perfect answer. However, find that shoes like trainers or walking shoes look better with jeans or shorts especially if you are going to be on your fee for a lont time

DeleteOh wow, this skirt is so fabulous, Tatiana! I love the whole outfit. It is perfect for a hot day in the city. I go back and forth with my travel clothing. Pants are great for certain activities, but I also enjoy wearing skirts and dresses to keep cool for other activities. It mostly depends on my mood more than anything else though!
