A set from Zara

On Saturday we had a birthday party to attend and a I decided to wear a set from Zara which I bought during my last visit to New York. I like this brand because it is always on top of all new trends, they have a very European style and, at the same time, it is affordable. The only complaint I have is their quality. I have to be very careful because despite of their interesting styles, the quality of fabric sometimes is very poor.

It is exactly what happened with the set I am showing today. The blouse got all wrinkled in just an hour of sitting in a car and it did not matter how hard I tried to sit still and straighten out all the wrinkles of it. And the knees of the pants also lost their shape... I was disappointed by my choice.

As soon as I got home I took the blouse off and put in the pile of unwanted items. In Russia we have a very good proverb: "I am not so rich to buy cheap things." And I have to remember about it when I make spontaneous purchases.

My new schedule

Last Thursday, I had my first day at a job, which was one of the reasons why I started this blog in the first place. I needed a portfolio to be able to work in fashion. Throughout my entire blogging career, I have represented Anthropologie multiple times, and now I am a part of their team. I decided to take baby steps and try from the very beginning to see if my dream to work in fashion is the right fit for me.

Of course, I kept my other full-time job and decided to start with 15 hours per week as a Sales Associate at Anthropologie. If I want to change my career, I think I should understand everything from the bottom up. I am very excited about it but at the same time I don't know what will happen to my blog. Between mine and Evgeny's crazy busy schedules it will be difficult to find time to shoot photographs for the blog and keep posting twice a week.

At first, I wanted to close my blog completely, but now I am thinking I will try to post once a week because it became a big part of my fashion journey. Also, I truly appreciate our fashion blog community and I really enjoy reading blog posts from many of you.

That is why I am not saying "Goodbye" yet. I will try to do my best to keep my blog alive, maybe not always on time, but with big pleasure.

Today, while the leaves on the trees are still green and it is still warm in Philadelphia, I would like to show one of my favorite pants again, before fall is here. It was a perfect outfit for a warm, comfortable, not anymore hot day in our beautiful city.

Wearing white after Labor Day

Do you follow the rule about not wearing white after Labor Day? It looks like I don't, especially when there are still warm summer days outside. That's why for Friday night I chose this white top which I bought last summer, but for some reason haven't worn it even once. I completely forgot that I owned it, which means that I need to clean my closet so badly. How could I not remember about this cute top the whole summer?

Well, I will definitely start working on my wardrobe soon, but yesterday I got a chance  to show this top on the streets of Philadelphia for a night out. Have a good weekend my friends!

September in the Old City

Happy September, everyone! I am still in a mood to not buy any summer garments, that's why today I am wearing the items you have seen on me before, but in a different combination. This white t-shirt definitelly has become one of my favorite items, I pretty much live in it. It goes well with skirts, trousers, and, of course, with a pair jeans. I am quite impressed with the quality of this item  because it still looks pretty good even after being washed weekly. I like when my clothes stay  in a good shape for a long time.

Today after work we went to the Old City, one of the most beautiful areas of Philadelphia and one of my favorite ones. It is still doesn't feel like September with 94 degrees outside, but something is telling me that fall in not so far away and soon enough we will all be covered with sweaters and coats. But not yet...

That's why let's enjoy our last days of summer!
