My day off

On Monday, Evgeny and I both had a day off and we decided to take it easy. We had some errands to run in the morning, and the afternoon we spent at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia. I love walking there. It always amazes me how creative some people are. They turned the Navy's war-making factories into a fresh, creative community.

For my walk near the river I chose this bomber which I bought last year at H&M. When I got it I was sure that it will be a one season item. I paid only $10.00 and didn't have any high expectation about the quality and wearability of this piece. I thought it will lose its appearance very quickly.  I decided to buy it only because I wanted to add some trendy garments to my wardrobe. But surprisingly, it has survived through my trip to Russia last fall and even with wearing it pretty often on a daily basis, it still looks alive. Looks like I got a really good deal.

It was a wonderful day - quiet and very peaceful. We walked very slow and had a deep, sincere conversation. Sometimes I really need days like that when I take a deep breath and calm down...
