A set from Zara
On Saturday we had a birthday party to attend and a I decided to wear a set from Zara which I bought during my last visit to New York. I like this brand because it is always on top of all new trends, they have a very European style and, at the same time, it is affordable. The only complaint I have is their quality. I have to be very careful because despite of their interesting styles, the quality of fabric sometimes is very poor.
It is exactly what happened with the set I am showing today. The blouse got all wrinkled in just an hour of sitting in a car and it did not matter how hard I tried to sit still and straighten out all the wrinkles of it. And the knees of the pants also lost their shape... I was disappointed by my choice.
As soon as I got home I took the blouse off and put in the pile of unwanted items. In Russia we have a very good proverb: "I am not so rich to buy cheap things." And I have to remember about it when I make spontaneous purchases.

I love Spanish designers and their clothes (most recently Desigual) but I will remember your warning about quality of the fabric. Thanks
ReplyDeleteMe too, Madeline! And I like Zara very much, but I just have to remember that not every item has a good quality of fabric.
DeleteSuch a striking colour Tatiana, and what cool cropped trousers. Thanks for joining the #chicandstylish #linkup
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Jacqui!
DeleteThat is a gorgeous color and I know what you mean about Zara...I love how fashion forward some of their stuff is on a budget. But yes, you have to be careful what you buy. I am considering getting some starch spray for my clothes to use after I steam them. It might help with some of my wrinkle prone fabrics to look better throughout the day.

Thank you very much for your advice, Kristin! I have never heard about a starch spray before, and I will definitely try it!
DeleteHello Tatiana,
ReplyDeleteWell that color is so stunning on you! I love teal. Love the fun hem on your pants too. I have been buying a bit more on the thrift sites and getting Antho pieces and other pieces. I do wear Zara, but return pieces that I know won't last because of a certain fabric. All that said, you look beautiful.
