Inspirational moment
On Thursday I participated in an event held by Ahtropologie in King of Prussia Mall. As a part of the event,we were asked to create wall boards using pictures and fabrics from a magazine of their latest home collections. I had such a great time, and even though I didn't like my own wall board that much, I realized that there is definitelly room to develop my skills. I just need more practice.
Walking through new arrivals in the store I noticed that there is a few wall decor with knitted work, like macrame. It reminded me that I have four shawls which my mother-in-low knitted for me, but I wore only two of them - one time each. "I have to find them and try them on as soon as I get home..." - I thought. I was inspired by these wall decors.
Today I want to share with you what I got. Honestly, I don't like how it looks on top of my coat, but I will definitelly try it on a sweater when spring comes. I see potential here.
There is something about getting older - I started valuing more qualitative hand-made pieces, which are very different from what we can get from the shelves and hangers of the stores. These pieces are all about uniqueness plus they always contain a little special piece of someone who made them for us. My mother-in-low passed away in February seven years ago and all I can say is she was a second mom for me... I always called her mom.... Wonderful women with "golden" hands and a very special heart...

Tatiana, The shawl is beautiful. She must have been very talented. I can imagine many different ways to wear it--long skirts, jeans, etc. Beautiful
