Complementary Combination

Today I went to my closet in search of something bright and colorful. Honestly, I am getting a little depressed with the winter, it happens with me every year. Maybe because I am from the warmest part of Russia and by the middle of March we already have first flowers on the ground  and fully blossomed trees, or may be the cold weather doesn't let me play more with my garments and wear something lighter then coats... I don't know.

But this morning I decided that I am going to wear something that makes me feel vivid. I took a blouse and decided to play with the colors it has in its print. I like to include printed items in my outfits because they help me to tie all the details of my look together. I chose the blue and brown which had my blouse, put everything together and I was happy with my choice.

When I looked at my photos later they reminded me about the Color Wheel . Honestly, I have never used it in my life, I always feel out the colors that go well with each other by heart. But I just wanted to check that color combination and found out that I chose a Complementary Combination - "complementary colors, as the name goes, work best when put together. These are exactly opposite to each other on the color wheel. They might seem bold to look at, but the outputs will be perfect."

If you are not sure about color combinations I highly recommend to check the Color Wheel here. It is very easy to use, but very helpful when you are in doubt.
